This is a new and ground-breaking initiative that optimizes livestock farmers and veterinarians' partnerships to ensure the safety, security, and resiliency of the food supply chain. Our Telehealth Platform is designed to enhance the quality and accessibility of veterinary services, providing comprehensive care for animals through remote consultations, diagnostics, and treatment plans.

The platform provides mobile-based support and enhanced communication between livestock farmers, veterinarians, and veterinary paraprofessionals (VPPs). The platform gives farmers access to vital information regarding disease awareness, preventive care, record keeping, and regulatory compliance. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Engagement Specialist to join our team and drive the adoption and success of our platform in the community.

Job Summary 

The Engagement Specialist will play a pivotal role in promoting our Telehealth Platform to our customers: veterinarians, veterinary paraprofessionals (VPPS) and farmers. This role involves developing and implementing engagement strategies, coordinating outreach activities, and serving as the primary liaison between the company and the community to ensure the successful adoption and utilization of our telehealth services.

Responsibilities 

1. Community Engagement

Develop and execute strategic engagement plans to introduce and promote the Telehealth Platform to veterinarians, veterinary paraprofessionals (VPPs) and farmers.

• Conduct outreach activities to identify and address the needs and concerns of the animal care community.

• Facilitate workshops, webinars, and informational sessions to educate customers on the benefits and functionalities of the platform.

2. Sales Support

Collaborate with the marketing team to identify potential clients and partners within the animal care community.

• Create compelling sales presentations, proposals, and marketing materials tailored to different audience segments.

• Support the sales process by providing product demonstrations and addressing any technical or logistical queries from potential clients.

3. Event Coordination

Plan and manage community events, such as trade shows, exhibitions, and community fairs, to showcase the Telehealth Platform.

• Ensure events are effectively promoted, well-organized, and within budget, achieving desired engagement outcomes.

• Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, setup, attendee registration, and post-event follow-up.

4. Communication

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of veterinary professionals, farmers, and other key stakeholders.

• Create and distribute engaging content through newsletters, press releases, social media, and other channels to keep the community informed and excited about the platform.

• Handle inquiries from stakeholders and provide accurate, timely information and support.

5. Partnership Building

Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with veterinary and VPPs associations, farmer organizations, and other relevant entities to expand the reach and impact of the Telehealth Platform.

• Represent VetNOW at industry events, meetings, and forums to network and promote the platform.

6. Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain detailed records of engagement activities and outcomes.

• Prepare regular reports on engagement efforts, highlighting key metrics, successes, and areas for improvement.

• Document best practices and lessons learned to refine future engagement strategies. Professional qualifications

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Veterinary Science, Communications, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, sales, or a related role.

• Experience working in the agricultural or in the animal health sector.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• Experience in planning and executing events and outreach programs.

• Knowledge of farming or the veterinary industry is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and social media platforms.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Fluency in English and Swahili.
